Are You Ready for Summer (classes)?

Believe it or not, Summer classes start in just 34 days.  The first classes will be May 1st.  To help you get ready, this issue of e-Notes will be devoted to giving you information that we hope will be helpful.

Workshops

Workshops were offered for the first time in the Fall 2008 term.  From your enthusiastic response, this format obviously met the need.  It has become apparent that it is difficult to cover the necessary material in just one session.  This term, the Workshops will be Two Sessions.  This will provide more time to cover the material and also provide more time to practice in class.

School of Technology (SofT)

SofT was introduced in the January 4th issue of e-Notes.  The first three classes are being offered in the Summer term.  If you need help with one of those new gadgets, be sure to check out the classes listed below.

Registration

The brochure will be distributed on Thursday, April 9th.  Registration will start on Monday, April 13th.  As before, any resident who registers during 3 working days from the start of registration will have an equal chance of being enrolled.  (It is not necessary to attempt to register very early on the first day.)  However, you must submit your registration form by 4:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 15th to be included in the randomization.  After that residents will be registered in the order their form is received.

Circulation of e-Notes

There are more than 350 addresses of Shell Point residents on the circulation list for e-Notes.  Most of the addresses were gleaned from class lists of those who have taken one or more courses in the Computer College.  If you know someone interested in computers and is not receiving e-Notes, please have them contact us at cccsc8sp@gmail.com and their address will be added to the circulation list.

Information Forum

(Saturday, April 11 at 10:00 A.M.  Grand Cypress Room)

Don’t miss the Information Form. This term we will skip the “RoundUp” and instead the Information Forum will be devoted to the Computer College.  You will have a chance to find out more about the classes and new ideas for the Computer College.  You will receive the new Computer College Brochure on Thursday, April 9th so be sure to bring it with you to the meeting.  A panel of Instructors will be there answer your questions.

The Summer Classes

Listed below is the Schedule of the Summer Term classes.  Since the whole brochure of classes is 13 pages, we have not included the description of the classes.  We hope this will help you with planning your other activities around your important class schedule.
